Born and Raised in Hokkaido, Japan, Ted and John are the sons of Snow Crab Fisherman. They were roommates at Waneda University later reconnencting to launch the Bank of Ginza’s Dark Market Fund before the economic collapse of 1999.

Together they launched Volcanic Limited Partners after sketching out business plans on a cocktail napkin during an investor dinner at Guy Fieri’s restaurant on the top floor of the World Trade Center at exactly 1:59 am on September 11th 2001.
